Natural Aiyu Fig Seeds | Make Your Own No adding Summer Jelly

Aiyu Fig (Ficus pumila var. awkeotsang) is a native Taiwanese plant known for its refreshing jelly—Taiwan’s favorite summer dessert. Unlike powdered or synthetic jellies, natural Aiyu jelly is rich in pectin, a dietary fiber that supports digestion, helps with satiety, and is remarkably low in calories—only 2 calories per 100g.

Simply made by rubbing the seeds in cold mineral water, this jelly is perfect for vegetarians and those seeking a healthy, low-calorie lifestyle. Serve it with honey and lemon, in yogurt, with sparkling drinks, over shaved ice—or even in cocktails and hot pot.

Product Includes:

  • 30g natural Aiyu Fig seeds (makes approx. 1.2–1.5L jelly)

How to Prepare:

  1. Add 1000–1200ml cold mineral water (no hot or distilled water) in a pot.

  2. Hand Rub Method: Put the aiyu in a filter bag, put it in water, and rub it with your hands until the water feels sticky and turn into juice.

  3. Blender Method: Put the aiyu in a blender and blend it at a slow speed for about 8-10 minutes. Pour the blended juice until it becomes viscous, filter it into a container with a strainer, and refrigerate it to form jelly.

  4. Let it set at refrigerate temperature—refresh and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Avoid oil or sugar on your hands or in the container.

  • Best results using Taiwanese bottled mineral water.

  • Jelly may naturally release water after a few hours.
